Visitors to the UserDo website have to request a demo in order to get their hands on the product. A Sales Rep reaches out and demonstrates the product. The industry standard in SaaS though is that users can sign up directly on the website and take the product for a test run immediately (self-signup).

Due to the time limited nature of this project, not all aspects that would affect the development of the self-signup process were included, such as:

  • The experience after when entering UserDo is as important as getting a user signed up.

  • A tour needs to be created for users to go through once they enter UserDo

  • Since users need to get buy-in from other team members, a screen for "Invite Team Members" should be included after the user has completed the tour with UserDo

  • Closer alignment on what events are passed into the database and how marketing and sales access the data need to be established

  • A lead scoring and qualification system needs to be created to help sales efficiently reach out to promising users

  • An automated email welcome campaign should be created that includes valuable resources to keep users engaged
